Rejuvenated Buckeyes Look to Turn in Season-Best Times
Oct. 13, 2011
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State women's cross country team heads back to action at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational this Friday. The Buckeyes took last week off and are expected to turn in their top times of the season against a field of fierce competition in Madison.
"This meet will be by far the toughest field we will see this season prior to the NCAA Championships," distance coach Chris Neal said. "The team has gotten faster and stronger everyday over the past two weeks. We are struggling a little bit right now with some sickness, but hopefully by Friday that will all be cleared up. We are excited to get back on the cross country course and see where we are."
The Scarlet and Gray will run in the women's 6k race, which is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. CT at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course. A complete recap will be available after the race at www.OhioStateBuckeyes.com.
