COLUMBUS, Ohio - Taylor Sandbothe and Kylie Randall, incoming freshmen for the 2013 women's volleyball season, were two among the annual Volleyball Magazine Girls' Fab 50 list.
The pair joins current Buckeyes and former honorees Kaitlyn Leary (2010), Taylor Sherwin (2011), Andrea Kacsits (2012) and Katie Mitchell (2012) on next year's roster. The duo is also among the 14 student-athletes set to play in the Big Ten in 2013.
Sandbothe, a 6-2 middle blocker from Lee's Summit, Mo., led Lee's Summit West High School to three-straight state runner-up finishes (2010-12) and was named first team All-State, All-District, All-Region and All-Conference. A member of Invasion VBC, Sandbothe was named to the Under Armour All-American second team and ranked No. 25 on Prepvolleyball.com's Senior Aces list.
Randall, a 6-2 outside hitter from Tomball, Texas, is a two-time All-State honoree for Magnolia High School. Named to the Prepvolleball.com's Fab 50 list and on the website's Class of 2013 Top 50 Recruits list, Randall earned first team All-District honors for three-consecutive seasons and was recently awarded the 2012 District 18-4A Most Valuable Player honor.
