COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State University women's volleyball program wrapped up the 2017 spring competition slate by taking all four sets over the Miami (OH) RedHawks (25-14, 26-24, 25-20, 17-15).
Ashley Wenz provided a heavy hand for the OSU offense, clubbing 18 kills at a .410 attacking rate (18-2-39). Brooke Bailey and Audra Appold provided a spark as well, combining for 23 kills and swinging .450 and .375, respectively. Taylor Hughes guided the attack with 44 assists while delivering a half dozen kills herself.
Bia Franklin racked up a team-high 12 digs on the defensive side, followed closely by Hughes' 10 digs. As a team, the Buckeyes totaled 56 digs to help limit Miami to a .107 team hitting efficiency. Franklin led the way in blocking as well for the Scarlet & Gray, assisting on three rejections and posting a solo stuff.
