COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State women’s track and field team wore pink Friday during a conditioning/team bonding session to honor those affected by breast cancer. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
After a tough week of conditioning the team got together Friday for a friendly competition of kickball. Team Gray, coached by associate head coach Rosalind Joseph, edged Team Pink, who was led by head coach Karen Dennis, 21-18.
“The ladies had a hard week of conditioning so they decided to have a light day Friday with a little kickball,” Joseph said. “They decided in a team meeting earlier in the week that they would like to all dress in pink in honor of breast cancer awareness and it was a nice way to show support to those who have been affected by the disease.”
Official practices for track and field start in November.
