COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's track and field team travels to Baton Rouge, La., this Saturday, April 5, for the Battle on the Bayou.

The Buckeyes are one of five squads competing at the invite-only meet held at LSU’s Bernie Moore Track Stadium and they will be facing some stiff competition. The host Tigers come in at No. 8 in the preseason USTFCCA rankings, while No. 10 Kansas, No. 13 UCLA and No. 32 Mississippi State round out a loaded field.

Teams will be competing with a 10-8-6-4-2-1 scoring format as the Top 6 places in each individual event. A scoring format of 10-8-6-4-2 will be used for the relay events as only five places will be scored in the relays and only one relay team from each university will be allowed to score in both the 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relays.

Field events, beginning with the javelin, commence at 10 a.m. CT with races on the track set for 1:30 p.m. CT. A recap will be available after the meet at www.OhioStateBuckeyes.com
