Ohio State Returns to French Field House for Buckeye Tune-Up

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s track and field team returns to French Field House Friday, Feb. 15 for the Buckeye Tune-Up. The meet will serve as the Buckeyes’ final regular-season event prior to next week’s Big Ten championships. Throwing events are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. ET, with competition on the track set for 6 p.m. Admission is free. Competing Teams French Field House A $1.3 million renovation project inside the field house was completed in October 2009. Renovations included: • An all-new 200-meter state-of-the-art track and indoor field competition surface The field house was named in honor of Prof. William E. French, who was the Western Conference faculty representative for The Ohio State University for 32 years.
Buckeyes Ranked No. 81 in USTFCCCA Week Four Poll Ohio State checked-in at No. 81 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) team rankings for Division I, released Feb. 12. Three Big Ten teams are featured in the Top 50: No. 15 Illinois, No. 17 Michigan and No. 45 Michigan State. In the Great Lakes regional rankings Ohio State sits at No. 4 behind Michigan, Kent State and Notre Dame. Wisconsin completes the Top 5.
