Gladstein Invitational Up Next for Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's track and field team travels to Bloomington, Ind., this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 24-25, for the Gladstein Invitational.
Hosted by Indiana University, the two-day event is scheduled for noon ET Friday and 10 a.m. ET Saturday at Gladstein Fieldhouse. The meet provides the Buckeyes an opportunity to scout two contenders for the Big Ten title, No. 17 Purdue and host Indiana. Follow the action with live scoring at www.iuhoosiers.com. Buckeyes Ranked No. 61 in USTFCCCA Preseason Poll
Ohio State is ranked No. 61 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) preseason rankings, released Jan. 13. Five Big Ten teams are ranked in the Top 50: No. 13 Michigan, No. 17 Purdue, No. 31 Illinois, No. 37 Penn State and No. 44 Wisconsin.
Texas is the No. 1-ranked team in the nation, followed by second-ranked Texas A&M and No. 3 Florida.
Buckeyes in the Individual Top 25
Eight members of the women's track and field team find themselves ranked within the Top 25 in several event areas nationally according to Track & Field Results Reporting System (www.TFRRS.org).

Ohio State enjoyed a successful two days of competition at the Kentucky Invitational in Lexington, Ky., Jan. 17-18.
Sykes and Abraham anchored a strong Buckeye performance in the sprints. Sykes placed second in both the 60- and 200-meter dashes, while Abraham was third in both events. The Buckeyes also placed two athletes in the Top 5 of the mile: sophomores Tammy Berger (third, 5:03.60) and Minori Minagawa (fifth, 5:06.13).
Ohio State has the week off prior to a Feb. 7 trip to New York City for the New Balance Collegiate Invitational at The Armory.
