Securing the third championship invitation of the evening was sophomore Alexis Franklin, who turned in a personal-best time of 13.28 seconds in the 100-meter hurdle quarterfinal to earn the 12th and final spot in the national-championship field by .008 of a second over Shanique Walker of Jacksonville. Franklin is also scheduled to race in the 400-meter hurdles after a fifth-place finish in the Friday quarterfinal.
