PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The No. 22 Ohio State women's track and field team continued competition in Philadelphia at the Penn Relays Friday.
Competing for the Buckeyes in the championship division of the triple jump was Kelcey McKinney. The senior used a leap of 12.32m (40-5) to claim the silver medal. Abilene Christian's Amanda Ouedraogo (12.66m/41-6.5) won the gold medal. Rachael Mack (12.00m/39-4.5) and Abie Ehimwenman (11.99m/39-4) competed in the college division of the triple jump. The pair placed thirteenth and fourteenth, respectively.
Two members of the Scarlet and Gray ran in the 100m dash college division. Christina Manning (11.68) qualified for the finals in the 100m dash while Chesna Sykes (11.90) came in 17th. In the 100m hurdles college division, Christienne Linton (14.19) placed 21st.
Linton, Manning, Aisha Cavin and Sykes placed fourth in the 4x100m relay in the elite Championship of America division. They crossed the line in 44.70. Texas A&M won with a time of 43.87. The sprint medley team also competed in the Championship of America division. Linton, Alexandria Johnson, Jackie Dim and Shaniqua McGinnis turned in a time of 3:53.90, the second-best time in Ohio State history. Tennessee used a time of 3:43.79 to win.
The Penn Relays wraps up on Saturday.
