Abraham Earns Second Team All-America honors in 60-Meter Dash

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Redshirt senior Ashlee Abraham, the lone competitor for the Ohio State women’s track and field team at the 2014 NCAA Indoor Championships, placed 16th in the 60-meter hurdle preliminaries Friday evening at the Albuquerque Convention Center in Albuquerque, N.M., earning Second Team All-America honors in the process.
Abraham, a native of Detroit, Mich., crossed the finish line in a time of 7.49 seconds, taking eighth place in her heat and 16th overall. Abraham enjoyed an outstanding indoor season for Ohio State, winning the Big Ten title in the 60-meter dash and finishing sixth in the 200 meters on her way to First Team All-Big Ten honors.
The Buckeyes open the 2014 outdoor season March 28 at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.
