College Station, Texas – Junior Sade Olatoye picked up her second-career indoor First Team All-America honor on Saturday night at the NCAA Track and Field Championships at the Gilliam Indoor Stadium.
Olatoye, a native of Dublin, Ohio, had her best weight throw of the day on her third attempt of the event. Spinning powerfully and forcefully, the junior tossed the weight apparatus 22.14 meters (72-7.75) to earn herself a sixth-place showing. Olatoye is now a three-time All-American in indoor competition.
The men’s 4x400 meter relay registered an eighth-place finish to earn First Team All-America honors. The foursome of Asa Burke, Nick Gray, Drelan Bramwell and Andre Jeff combined to register a time of 3:05.90. The women’s 4x400 meter relay squad of Beatrice Hannan, Karrington Winters, Syaira Richardson and Maggie Barrie placed 11th to close out the meet with a time of 3:33.70.
In the team standings, the Ohio State men placed 36th with six team points and the women placed 45th with three points.
