COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s track and field team played host to the Buckeye Tune-Up Friday night at French Field House in the squad’s final meet prior to the Big Ten championships.
A number of personal-best times and marks were set, and head coach Karen Dennis was encouraged by what she saw from her student-athletes:
“The whole purpose of the night was to tune up before the championship,” she said after the meet. “I don’t want to overload anyone. The biggest thing is to collectively see progress and intensity. We have to have intensity and competitiveness to do well at the Big Ten Championships. I saw some of that intensity tonight, and we are going to need it next week.”
