COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s track and field team competes at the SPIRE NCAA Division I Invitational Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8-9, in Geneva, Ohio.
Events from the SPIRE Institute, host of the 2013 Big Ten Indoor Championships, are scheduled to begin at approximately 2 p.m. ET Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. A complete recap will be available after the meet at www.OhioStateBuckeyes.com. Live results can be found at www.lightningtiming.com.
Scarlet and Gray Ranked No. 62 in USTFCCCA Poll; Second in Regional Rankings
Ohio State checked-in at No. 62 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) team rankings for Division I, released Feb. 5.
In the Great Lakes regional rankings, Ohio State sits at the No. 4-spot behind Michigan, Notre Dame and Kent State. Indiana rounds out the Top 5.

Six members of the women's track and field team find themselves ranked within the Top 25 in several event areas nationally according to Track & Field Results Reporting System (www.TFRRS.org). A look at where the Buckeyes sit:

• Alexis Thomas – No. 19 in the weight throw
• Katie Borchers – No. 22 in the DMR
• SoSo Walker – No. 22 in the DMR

Last Time Out
The Ohio State women's track and field team completed a spirited weekend of competition at the Armory Collegiate Invitational in New York City Feb. 2. The Buckeyes faced 12 of the top-25 teams in the nation during the two days of events at the New Balance Track & Field Center at The Armory.
Highlights included personal-best times/marks for sophomores Cavin (200m, 23.69 – indoor PR), Michelle Thomas (3000m, 9:40.07) and Abie Ehimwenman (triple jump, 12.07/39-7.25). The Buckeyes’ Distance Medley team also turned in a nationally-ranked time (11:33.32) that earned the four-member squad a gold medal.
Ohio State hosts the Buckeye Tune-up Feb. 15 at French Field House.
