Schaub to Represent U.S. in Master’U BNP Paribas International Collegiate Team Competition
Melissa Schaub, Ohio State head coach, has been named to the coaching staff for the Master’U BNP Paribas International Collegiate Team Competition for the second year in a row. The annual event will be held Nov. 30-Dec. 3 in Marcq-en-Baroeul, France.
Schaub and Boise State men’s coach Greg Patton will lead the United States squad as it competes against teams from Belgium, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland and Russia. Each team match consists of two men’s and two women’s singles matches, one women’s and one men’s doubles match and a mixed doubles match.
Schaub was the 2017 ITA National Coach of the Year and was named Big Ten Coach of the Year each of the last three seasons. She has led the Buckeyes to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including a semifinal berth in 2017. The team won the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles in 2016 and ’17.
