Blogging with the Buckeyes
March 29, 2013
Buckeye senior Fidan Manashrivoa has been blogging all season, catching fans up on the squad's adventures througout the year. The team returns home to host Iowa Sunday in a Big Ten matchup.
While everybody else in the nation is experiencing sunshine and warm temperatures, Ohio has decided to make us all wait it out and really appreciate nice weather. Still waiting.
The team traveled to Montgomery, Alabama for our spring break to play the annual Blue Gray Tournament. We placed third place out of eight teams, taking Boise State in the first round and dropping very close matches to Tulane and Yale. The brutal southern sun had our team coming back home 50 different shades of red. Grainne O’Neill’s native land of Ireland experiences a total of 10 days of sunshine all year so it was especially difficult for her skin to adjust to 75 and sunny. All in all, we had a great time and our host families were extremely warm people who accommodated everybody very comfortably.
This past weekend, we traveled to Purdue and Indiana to continue our quest in the B1G. We dropped both matches to two great teams and continue on this Easter Sunday, taking on Iowa. Our conference this year is very strong and every single match is a war. For anybody who is willing to make it out on Sunday although it is a holiday, we would appreciate the support.
