Ohio State Travels to Arkansas for Back-to-Back Matches

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The 61st-ranked Ohio State women's tennis team (4-3, 0-1 Big Ten) travels to Fayetteville, Ark., this weekend for a pair of matches. The Buckeyes take on No.44-ranked Arkansas (4-4, 0-0 SEC) at 5 p.m. CT/6 p.m. ET Friday before facing No.33-ranked Tulsa (6-3, 1-0 C-USA) at 2 p.m. CT/3 p.m. ET Saturday at the Billingsley Tennis Center.

BY THE NUMBERS
No. 53 Kelsey Dieters, No. 93 Fidan Manashirova and Noelle Malley have each compiled 12 singles victories this season. Dieters posted her second victory over Tennessee's No. 18-ranked Brynn Boren and her third victory over a ranked opponent Sunday with a super tiebreaker victory, 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (12-10). Malley ended her nine-match win streak against singles opponents Sunday, falling to Tennessee's Tiffany Taveres, 7-5, 6-2.
The Buckeye tandem of Kara Cecil and Dieters has tallied a team-high nine doubles victories, including a 3-0 record on court one.
Ohio State has posted a .683 singles winning percentage and a .667 doubles winning percentage in dual matches this season. The Buckeyes have dominated on court four this spring, earning an .857 winning percentage against their opponents.
A LOOK AT ARKANSAS
The Scarlet and Gray faced the Razorbacks last season, dropping a 4-3 heartbreaker at home in the second meeting all-time between the two schools. In the match, the Razorbacks held an early lead after taking the doubles point. The Buckeyes rallied with three singles wins to tie the match at 3-3 before Arkansas claimed the court one decision to pick up the victory.
This season, the Razorbacks have notched a .628 singles winning percentage and a .512 doubles winning percentage. Ana Lorena Belmar Hernandez leads Arkansas with 12 singles victories this season including wins in seven of her last 10 matches.
The Buckeyes are 0-2 all-time against the Razorbacks.
This season, Ohio State is 0-2 against SEC opponents in dual matches.
A LOOK AT TULSA
In doubles, the Hurricanes are led by the 12th-ranked pair of Isaura Enrique and Samantha Vickers who have teamed up to post an 18-2 record this season, dropping just one match against a nationally ranked opponent. They have combined to win nine of their last 10 matches.
Vickers is also a nationally ranked player in singles, earning the No. 55 spot in the Campbell's/ITA College Tennis Rankings. The junior claimed a 7-5, 6-4 victory over No. 98 Hermon Brhane of Oklahoma at the No. 1 singles position Saturday and has compiled a 2-2 record against ranked opponents. She leads the Hurricanes with 15 singles wins this season.
