Becky Kim Part of 2014 Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame Class

COLUMBUS, Ohio- Becky Kim, an Ohio State synchronized swimming letterwinner from 2004-06 and 2009, will be inducted into the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame Sept. 26. Following the induction ceremony dinner, Kim will join 12 of her fellow Buckeyes for a public recognition at halftime of the football Buckeyes' home game vs. Cincinnati Sept. 27 in Ohio Stadium.
A four-time U.S. Collegiate All-American, Kim won six U.S. Collegiate championships, ranging from duet, trio and team titles, during her Ohio State career. Additionally, during her span as a Buckeye, Kim was instrumental in helping Ohio State win a pair of U.S. Collegiate National titles in 2004 and 2009. The 2009 United States Synchronized Swimming Collegiate Athlete of the Year, Kim was pivotal in leading the Buckeyes to their first U.S. Senior National title in program history as a senior in 2009. Kim and Meghan Kinney paired up in the duet routine and finished first en route to the historic moment.
An active member of the U.S. Team I and Team II National squads throughout her career, Kim achieved a momentous feat when she was named a member of the U.S. Olympic Team for the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
The Buckeye synchronized swimming program will celebrate more than 80 years of the excellence this fall during Ohio State's Hall of Fame weekend Sept. 26-28. During the weekend-long festivities, attendees will have an opportunity to join in various Ohio State athletics activities and events, including the Varsity "O" Hall of Fame Induction Dinner and the Ohio State vs. Cincinnati football game at Ohio Stadium.
