Katrina Stibel began her career in 2000 when she graduated from California State University with a bachelors of science in kinesiology and an emphasis in athletic training. After she finished her undergraduate degree, Stibel spent one year as an assistant athletic trainer at BKP Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Clinic. From there she became a graduate assistant at Ohio State and obtained her master's degree in 2003.
During her time as a graduate assistant, Stibel provided athletic training coverage for the men's and women's gymnastics teams until 2003. Stibel became an athletic trainer at the Ohio State Sports Medicine Center before accepting a position as an assistant athletic trainer at Ohio State.
Stibel currently works at the Bill and Mae McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion athletic training room as a supervisor and approved clinical instructor. She provides coverage for the men's and women's swimming and diving teams and the synchronized swimming team.
Stibel is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and Ohio Athletic Trainers' Association.
Stibel and her husband, Doug, reside in Columbus, Ohio.
