COLUMBUS, Ohio-- A little more than halfway through Olympic Trials and Ohio State has seen a bunch of stellar performances from its collection of swimmers.

After Lindsey Clary's 400 IM finals appearance on opening night, a pair of other Buckeyes have advanced on and made primetime NBC showings.

A 49.58 in the 100 freestyle for Josh Fleagle earned him a semifinals appearance on Wednesday, improving on his seed time by about half a second, one of the biggest improvements by any swimmer in the top-20. He went on to swim a 49.70 in the evening session, still besting his seed time.

Tonight, Thursday, Taylor Vargo will be swimming in the semifinals of the 200 breaststroke after recording a time of 2:28.98, good for 14th in the field of 123 and narrowly missing the Ohio State long course record in that event, which she already holds.

Tonight's session begins at 8 ET on NBC. You can check out our Olympic Trials preview here for more information regarding scheduling as well as other useful links for following along as Team USA continues to grow.

UPDATE: Vargo finished in 12th place, posting a time of 2:27.9 for a new long course 200 breaststroke record. She improved on her seed place by two spots.
