Ohio State Wraps Up Competition at NCAA Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State women's swimming and diving team notched four top-30 finishes on the third and final day of the 2014 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, held on the campus of the University of Minnesota.

In the 1650 freestyle, senior Alex Norris finished 28th (16:20.10) while Lindsey Clary was right behind her in 29th place (16:20.34).

The 400 freestyle relay team of Michelle Williams, Phoebe Cater, Aliena Schmidtke and Annie Jongekrijg had Ohio State's best finish of the day, a 22nd-place showing in a time of 3:18.05.


 

 

Williams also represented Ohio State in the 100 freestyle, clocking a time of 48.86 to take 29th place. In the 200 breaststroke, Ashley Vance placed 48th overall (2:14.27) while freshman Taylor Vargo was 51st (2:15.54).

The Buckeyes finished 41st overall in the team standings. Georgia won the title with 528 points.
