Ettienne, Miszkiel Punch Tickets to NCAAs in 3-Meter Competition
The second day of competition at the 2015 NCAA Zone C Championships concluded Friday with two members of the Ohio State men's diving contingent placing in the Top 5. Taking place at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on the campus of Ohio State, the meet will conclude Saturday with platform diving events.
Suiting up for the 3-meter springboard event, seniors Stephen Ettienne and Shane Miszkiel earned fifth and sixth, respectfully. With eight divers slated to qualify for the NCAA championships in the event, both Ettienne and Miszkiel have qualified for the national showcase. Ettienne, who will also be competing at NCAAs in the 1-meter event, tallied a score of 779.75, while Miszkiel followed closely with a 777.45.
Senior Taylor Ford also earned a spot in finals, competing on the 1-meter apparatus. Ford, a native of Ann Arbor, Mich., posted a score of 556.90 for 17th overall.
