—Day one of the NCAA Zone Diving meet is in the books and three Buckeye have already punched their tickets to the NCAA Championships.

Two-time Big Ten Champion Colin Zeng placed first in the three-meter diving event with his score of 829.10, over 50 points higher than the second place finisher. Teammate Stephen Romanik placed fourth with a score of 739.65 and Clay White finished ninth with a mark of 653.55. Buckeyes made up one-third of the qualifiers on the men's side, and the team has already matched its qualifier total from last season. 

Aaron-Daniels Freeman also had a strong showing, finishing 13th and scoring 310.85. Ohio State's four divers were more than any other team had in the competition, and all placed among the 13 best performers.

On the women's side, Haley Allen finished 17th in the one-meter dive with her score of 520.70.

Competition resumes tomorrow at 1 p.m.
