The junior helped Ohio State to dual meet victories over Michigan State on Friday evening as well as Akron and Pittsburgh on Saturday. Against the Spartans she won the 100 butterfly with a time of 53.98 and helped win the 200 medley relay (1:42.66). The next day she won the 100 fly again with the exact same time, and she won the 50 freestyle (22.49).
It’s been another stellar season for the Big Ten Champion and All-American. She currently holds the third-fastest time in the NCAA in the 50 free (21.70) and the sixth-fastest in the 100 fly (51.42). Li has not lost a 50 free race this season and she has won 13 individual events so far.
This is the second time in her career she has been named Swimmer of the Week by the Big Ten.
Li and the rest of the Buckeyes’ next meet is this Friday, Jan. 27 at the University of Michigan.
