COLUMBUS, Ohio - Junior Ohio State diver Cheyenne Cousineau earned the Big Ten Conference’s Diver of the Week Award for the third time in 2012-13, the conference office announced Tuesday. The award also is Cousineau’s third of her career.
Cousineau, a native of Temperance, Mich., claimed three first-place finishes in Ohio State’s dual meet victories over Wright State and Toledo last weekend. She placed first in the one-meter (299.18) and three-meter (339.08) diving events against the Rockets before winning the one-meter with a season-high score of 330.83 against Wright State. Overall, Cousineau has claimed eight event victories this year.
The No. 15 Buckeyes begin Big Ten competition at Michigan at 5 p.m. Friday.
