Stanford is in second with 215 points, while North Carolina (177) is in fourth place.
"I thought we were pretty good," head swimming coach Bill Dorenkott said. "We raced well this morning and I thought we would be a little bit quicker tonight. I guess that's why were racing though, to figure out where we are right now. I love the fact that we have quality competition and our girls are racing head-to-head. We had good relays and our depth is showing. It was a good first day."
The Buckeyes began the night on a solid start as junior Michelle Williams, senior Megan Detro, freshman Annie Jongekrijg and sophomore Aliena Schmidtke notched the team's fastest time in the 200 free relay in 2012 to place fourth overall.
