COLUMBUS, Ohio – The 15th-ranked Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team wrapped up competition at its two-day, double dual meet against Princeton and Denison Saturday at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. The Buckeyes defeated the Princeton Tigers, 226-121, and Denison Big Red, 251-93.

“I am really pleased with how we came out firing,” Ohio State head swimming coach Bill Dorenkott said Friday evening. “The girls came to race tonight and it’s showing. We’re going to have a great week of training ahead of us going into the invite.”

In the first event of the day, Ohio State claimed first and second. The contingent of Camey Rabold, Ashley Vance, Annelise Sprau and Zhesi Li earned first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:44.13, while the unit of Erin Dunseith, Maren Reeder, Annie Jongekrijg and Cheyenne Meek took second (1:46.37).

The Buckeyes swept the 400 individual medley with strong performances from Lindsey Clary (4:17.92), Annie Gillig (4:20.89), Amy Bopp (4:24.31) and Lauren Davis (4:28.70).

Li took the 100 freestyle with a 50.31 finish amid tight competition. Gillig then posted a first-place finish in 200 breaststroke in a time of 1:59.30.

Sprau competed in the highly competitive 100 butterfly, touching in third place with a time of 56.20. She trailed two Princeton swimmers, who recorded times of 55.77 and 55.82 for first and second, respectively.

Clary out-touched her opponents to claim first in 500 freestyle with a mark of 4:52.83. Vance, a senior this season, then led the 200 breaststroke with a first-place time of 2:19.35.

The Buckeyes will have a short, well-deserved break from competition before hosting the always competitive Ohio State Invitational, Nov. 21-23.
