Buckeyes Begin Competition at NCAAs

Cheyenne Cousineau competes in 1-meter consolation finals

At a glance: Currently holds an Ohio State varsity record along with her teammates in the 200 freestyle relay (1:29.96) ... specializes in freestyle and butterfly events ... has scored points for the Buckeyes at two-consecutive Big Ten championship meets.

As a sophomore (2012): A member of two Big Ten relay teams and two NCAA Championship relay teams ... placed seventh at the Big Ten championships in the 200 freestyle (1:47.34) ... finished the 400 freestyle relay in a time of 3:17.20 at Big Tens ... also dropped a school record at the NCAA championships with the 200 freestyle relay in 1:29.96 ... recorded three personal best times at Big Tens: 50m freestyle (23.40); 100 freestyle (50.18); 200 freestyle (1:47.23) ... second-team All-Big Ten ... earned Academic All-Big Ten and Ohio State Scholar-Athlete recognition.

As a freshman (2011): Member of the relay that broke Ohio State school-record in the 200 medley at the 2011 Big Ten Championships (1:39.43) ... touched first twice in her first meet as a Buckeye vs. Kenyon, once in the 100 freestyle and again in the 100 butterfly (Oct. 30) ... had multiple first place finishes in the 100 butterfly, three total (Kenyon, Wright St., Toledo).
