Buckeyes primed for their three road meet in as many weeks

At a glance: Will swim primarily breaststroke events for the Buckeyes.

As a junior (2015): Competed at the Big Ten chmapionships for her third time, earning Second Team All-Conference honors and appearing individually in the 100 breaststroke... her time of 59.61 in that event was the fastest on the team all season... 

As a sophomore (2014): Made her second-consecutive appearance at the Big Ten championships, competing individually in the 100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke and 50 freestyle ... set personal best times at Big Tens in all three events - 50 freestyle (23.14), 100 freestyle (50.71) and 100 breaststroke (1:02.02) ... received Academic All-Big Ten and Ohio State Scholar-Athlete recognition. 

As a freshman (2013):
Recorded the second-fastest time in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.55) and fifth-fastest in the 200 breaststroke (2:20.78) ... competed at the 2013 Big Ten Championships in the 100 breaststroke, where she claimed 16th with a time of 1:03.35, a personal best ... also participated in the 200 breaststroke and 200 individual medley at the conference showcase ... opened Buckeye career in a home tri-meet with Kenyon and Cleveland State ... gained experience at the central zone, sectional three leg of the USA Swimming Speedo Champions Series over the summer, competing in the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke.

Background: Rachael earned all-league, all-city and all-state recognition each of her four years at Notre Dame Academy ... captained the team as a senior ... voted as the team's most valuable swimmer ... was named TRAC Swimmer of the Year in 2012 ... led the team to district championships all four years ... also lettered in softball under head coach Al Beale ... would like to become a registered architect following graduation from Ohio State ... daughter of Betty and Bob Dzierzak ... has two siblings, Ellen and Tommy.
