Athletes from each of Ohio State’s 36 teams were chosen who the strength and conditioning staff felt exemplified qualities in the weight room such as: leadership, work ethic, a winning attitude, attendance, and above average ability to follow Instructions. Each athlete selected will be eligible for the National Strength and Conditioning All American Award the following year.
Ohio State’s work in the weight room is paying off on the field. Through 29 games, the Buckeyes have hit a Big Ten-leading 37 home runs and rank fourth nationally with 1.28 home runs per game. Over the last three season, Ohio State has 175 home runs and 196 doubles in 136 games, including a school-record 75 home runs in 2015.
