COLUMBUS, Ohio – Lindsay Agnew, a senior on the Ohio State women’s soccer team, has been named a second team Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced Tuesday. Agnew becomes the second Buckeye in program history to receive the honor, after Jen Miller garnered first team honors in 2002.
Agnew, from Dublin, Ohio, has posted a 3.86 cumulative grade-point average in environment, economy, development and sustainability. A co-captain as a senior this season and an assistant captain in 2015, Agnew led the Buckeyes with 10 goals and eight assists in 2016. Agnew concluded her career fourth in program history with 19 assists, tied for 13th with 55 career points and 15th with 17 career goals.
A second team All-Big Ten selection on the field in 2016, Agnew is a three-time OSU Scholar-Athlete, a two-time Academic All-Big Ten pick, a 2015 and 2016 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and a 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District selection.
