COLUMBUS, Ohio Lauren Granberg, a senior on the Ohio State women’s soccer team, has been named to the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District 5 second team. The Academic All-District honor is the second of Granberg’s career as she also earned the distinction in 2010.

The Sherwood Park, Alberta, native holds a 3.51 grade-point average in finance. Granberg led the Buckeyes with nine assists while adding eight goals in 2012. The 10 assists tied for second on the Ohio State single-season list while her 26 points ranked seventh. For her career, Granberg sits tied for ninth in program history with 58 points and 11th with 21 goals.

The Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-America program recognizes outstanding scholar-athletes in NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III and the college divisions (including two-year and NAIA institutions).
