Megan Fuller, Nichelle Prince Named Second Team All-Big Ten

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Megan Fuller and Nichelle Prince, members of the Ohio State women’s soccer team, have been named second team All-Big Ten, the conference office announced Tuesday. In addition, Prince and Alexis Degler were selected to the Big Ten All-Freshman team while Ellyn Gruber was the Buckeyes’ sportsmanship award honoree.
Fuller has played every minute for the Buckeyes each of the last two seasons, garnering a goal and three assists as a senior this season. The co-captain from Bondurant, Iowa, is tied for sixth on the Ohio State career assists list with 16.
Prince, a native of Ajax, Ontario, was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week three times this season and ranks third on the Ohio State single-season goals and points lists with 12 and 30, respectively. Prince, who ranks third in the conference in goals and fourth in points, tallied a pair of hat tricks this season against Northeastern and Northwestern.
Degler has played in all 19 matches, making her lone start against Morehead State. The Cary, N.C., native sits tied for second on the team with three goals to go along with an assist.
Gruber, from Cincinnati, Ohio, started all 19 matches in her junior campaign. The co-captain scored three goals and is tied for eighth in the conference with seven assists.
Ohio State’s postseason fate will be announced in a selection show on NCAA.com at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 11.
