Columbus, Ohio - The Ohio State women's soccer team defeated Indiana 3-0 on Senior Day Sunday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, propelling the Buckeyes into the Big Ten tournament before a crowd of 1,103 fans.

"It was special to be able to honor the seniors with this win," said Ohio State head coach Lori Walker. "The nine seniors have had a special impact on our program and to be able to get as many healthy ones as we could into the game was great. They have seen a number of different emotions during their four years. Last year as juniors, to finish as Big Ten co-champs with Penn State and advance to the Final Four, and then to transition to this year and serve as leaders to this team and keep battling.

"There's no preparation time for the tournament, so tomorrow, we'll have a practice and then we will travel to Northwestern. We have to take one game at a time and win the tournament to make it into the NCAAs.

Outshooting the Hoosiers 12-3 while dominating the first half, Ohio State broke the scoreless deadlock in the 27th minute, when Tiffany Cameron found the net on a controlled cross with her back to the goal, finishing a pass from Caitlyn Martin from six yards away. It was Cameron's team-leading sixth goal of the season.

The Buckeyes scored again in the 42nd minute, when Martin was successful with a header in a crowd at the far left post, off an assist by Megan Fuller, giving Ohio State a 2-0 halftime advantage.

Ohio State added a third goal in the 55th minute, when Kendyl Reed finished a shot in the box off a cross from assists by Paige Maxwell and Kiiri Kuld. Indiana received four yellow cards, to Devon Beach, Monica Melink, Abby Smith and one to the Hoosier bench. Ohio State received two yellow cards, on Colleen Brady and Paige Maxwell.

Ohio State concludes the regular season with a 10-8-1 mark. The Buckeyes finished 5-5-1 in Big Ten competition. The seventh-seeded Buckeyes will face No. 2 Illinois Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. ET in the opening round of the Big Ten tournament at Northwestern.
