COLUMBUS, Ohio – Tiffany Cameron, a senior forward on the Ohio State women’s soccer team, has been named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, the conference office announced Monday. The award is the third for Cameron and the seventh conference award for a Buckeye this season.
Cameron tallied two goals to become Ohio State's all-time leading goal scorer with 37 in a 5-0 win over Indiana Friday in Bloomington. Cameron broke the Ohio State career goals record, previously held by Lisa Collison and Lara Dickenmann, in the 38th minute with her 36th career tally before adding another in the 55th minute. The senior also added a pair of assists in the victory. With six points on the evening, Cameron passed Dickenmann for first on the Buckeyes’ single-season points list with 41. The senior also passed Dickenmann for second on the Ohio State career points list with 90, five short of Lisa Grubb’s 95. Ohio State moved to 29-1-1 all-time when Cameron has scored a goal.
The No. 2 seed Buckeyes take on No. 7 seed Nebraska in the first round of the Big Ten tournament Wednesday in Bloomington.
