COLUMBUS, Ohio - Senior goalkeeper Lauren Robertson picked up her second consecutive Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week award, the conference office announced Monday.

Robertson tallied a pair of shutouts, at Illinois and home against Purdue, this past weekend. She has posted 12 clean sheets in 2009 and 29 for her career, placing her alone in second place in Big Ten history.

The Mission Viejo, Calif. native has anchored the top-ranked defense in the Big Ten and leads the conference with a 0.51 goals-against average.

The Player of the Week award marked the fourth of the season for Robertson and eighth of her career.

The Buckeyes wrap up their 2009 home slate Sunday against Indiana on Senior Day at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
