COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State women's soccer team concluded its Big Ten regular season schedule with a 3-1 loss to Wisconsin Sunday at the McClimon Soccer Complex in Madison, Wis. It is the first OSU (6-9-2; 3-7-0 Big Ten) loss to the Badgers in five meetings, as the Buckeyes won three matches and tied two dating back to 2001.

Ohio State's only goal of the game came in the second half at 82:47 after Jennifer Greenwood (So., Westerville, Ohio/Ohio Premier) found the back of the net from a Caitlin Colfer (Fr., Albany, N.Y./Albertson) pass. The goal is Greenwood's second of the season and fourth of her career. The Westerville, Ohio, native got on the board earlier this season vs. Cincinnati in a 2-2 tie. Colfer recorded her sixth helper of the season and the mark moves her to a tie for eighth in the OSU all-time record books for yearly assists.

Wisconsin scored its first goal in the beginning stanza at 22:11 when Allison Preiss tallied her first of two assists on a pass to Amy Vermeulen. Preiss garnered another assist in the second half on a Katy Lindenmuth score at 55:59 before Lindenmuth notched a helper on a score by Taylor Walsh at 61:05.

United Quest) relieved her with 3:11 remaining in the game. Sinkway made three stops, bringing her season save total to 85. Cripps recorded no saves and the Badgers' Lynn Murray had four stops.

In the match, Wisconsin out shot Ohio State 16-9 and held the corner kicks advantage, 8-1. The Buckeyes tallied three saves compared to the Badgers' four.

With the loss to Wisconsin, Ohio State falls into a three-way tie with Indiana and Michigan for sixth place. The Hoosiers have one remaining league game on its slate vs. Purdue and the Wolverines will face Michigan State to help determine the eight-team conference tournament field.

Ohio State will play a non-conference match vs. Morehead State at 5 p.m. Friday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in a double header with the Ohio State men's soccer squad. The men will take on Northwestern at 7:30 p.m.
