Nichelle Prince Earns Second-Consecutive B1G Honor

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Nichelle Prince, a forward on the Ohio State women’s soccer team, has been named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the second-consecutive week, the conference office announced Monday. The award is the third Big Ten Freshman of the Week laurel for the Ajax, Ontario, native.
After scoring a goal in a 4-2 loss at No. 17 Penn State Thursday, Prince tallied a hat trick in the Buckeyes’ 6-1 win over Northwestern Sunday in Columbus. The hat trick was her second of her freshman season and she becomes one of three Buckeyes with multiple hat tricks in their career. Prince leads Ohio State with 11 goals and is tied for second on the team with seven assists on the season.
Ohio State travels to Nebraska at 5 p.m. Friday and Iowa at 2 p.m. Sunday.
