%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio-- The Ohio State women's soccer team fell to the recently-crowned Big%^$Ten champion Penn State Nittany Lions Friday, 1-0, at State College, Pa. The Buckeyes saw%^$their record fall to 5-12 overall and 1-9 in the Big Ten following their fifth-consecutive%^$loss. The No. 6 Nittany Lions improved to 15-2-1 overall and remained a perfect 9-0 in the%^$Big Ten.%^$

%^$PSU jumped out to the early lead when freshman Heidi Drummond deflected a shot from teammate%^$Joanna Lohman at 15:41.%^$

%^$OSU's Amber Barnes (Sr., Fairfield, Ohio/Fairfield) was able to keep the top-rated offense in%^$the conference off the scoreboard for the remainder of the match by stopping 12 shots. In her%^$last three games, Barnes has recorded 10, 13 and 12 saves, respectively.%^$

%^$The Nittany Lions fired 21 shots while OSU was held to zero, the lowest total for an OSU team%^$in the program's history. The previous record was set nearly six years ago to the day when%^$Notre Dame allowed only two shots on Oct. 21, 1994.%^$

%^$OSU will finish its streak of four-consecutive road matches when the Buckeyes visit Ohio%^$University Thursday for a 3 p.m. match at Athens, Ohio.%^$
