COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State Buckeyes and Wisconsin Badgers played to a 0-0 tie Friday afternoon at the OSU Sports Field. The match was a slow-paced struggle that contained little offense and few scoring opportunities.

With the exception of Wisconsin holding the ball in the Buckeye end the entire second overtime period, there was no clear-cut offensive advantage. Melanie Vierling (Fr., Cincinnati, Ohio) led the Buckeyes with four shots and Maria DeGiovanni paced the Badgers with three. Briget Schwarting and Amber Barnes (So., Fairfield, Ohio) both were credited for shutouts on the day.

OSU moves to 7-6-1 (2-5-1) for the year while Badgers rest at 8-4-1 (6-1-1) on the season. The Buckeyes play host to Northwestern Sunday at 2 p.m. at the OSU Sports Field.
