MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Junior forward Katy Traeger (Littleton, Colo.) netted her second goal of the season to push the Ohio State women's soccer team to a 1-0 over Minnesota at St. Paul Campus Soccer Field Sunday afternoon. The Buckeyes move to 7-6 for the season and 2-5 in the Big Ten Conference.

Traeger scored the only goal of the contest in the 54th minute when she connected on a Melanie Vierling (Fr., Cincinnati, Ohio) pass, giving OSU a 1-0 lead that would last the rest of the match.

Sophomore goalkeeper Amber Barnes (Fairfield, Ohio) recorded her fourth shutout of the year against the defending Big Ten champion Gophers, recording seven saves for the contest. Katie Martorella (Jr., Englewood, Colo.) and Vierling led the offensive push for the Buckeyes with six shots apiece. The Buckeyes open a four-game home stand this Friday, hosting Wisconsin at 4 p.m. at the OSU Sports Field.
