COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s soccer team received a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award, the organization announced Thursday. The Buckeyes, who posted a 3.45 team grade-point average for the 2015-16 academic year, have earned the honor for the ninth-consecutive season under head coach Lori Walker.
Ohio State is currently sits at 7-4-2 overall, 1-2-2 in Big Ten play, with three weeks left in the regular season. The Buckeyes, ranked 19th in the NCAA RPI rankings released Monday, are paced offensively by Lindsay Agnew, who is tied for fourth in the Big Ten with eight goals and 19 points, along with Nichelle Prince (2g, 4a) and Nikki Walts (2g, 4a).
