Women's Soccer Earns Shutout Against Wisconsin

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State women’s soccer team earned a 2-0 win and improved its record to 8-2-2 ( 3-1-1 Big Ten) on the season against Wisconsin today at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
The game was scoreless until OSU’s Emily Thorpe (So., Sycamore,Ohio) scored off of a throw in with just one minute remaining in the first half.
OSU’s Kiley Enmark (Fr., Sterling Heights, Ohio) scored in the 56th minute to put the Buckeyes ahead 2-0. The goal came off a Katy Traeger (Sr., Littleton, Colo.) pass. Enmark found found the back of the net after a shot from outside the box.
This game marks Amber Barnes’ (Jr., Fairfield, Ohio) sixth shutout on the season. The Buckeyes have not lost in five games and this is their second win of the weekend (4 wins, 1 tie).
The Buckeyes will travel to Illinois to face the Fighting Illini Friday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. and then travel to Iowa to face the Hawkeyes on Sunday, Oct. 10 at 2 p.m.
