The Buckeyes were the first to strike on the Titans as Emily Thorpe (So., Cincinnati, Ohio) passed the ball to Lindsay Eckles (Fr., Hilliard, Ohio), who slammed the shot past Detroit goalkeeper, Erika Rust in the 35th minute. In the beginning minutes of the second half, Brynn Catino (So., Westerville, Ohio) scored her first goal of the season, putting OSU ahead of Detroit, 2-0.
