Women's Soccer Lose to Indiana in OT

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Tracy Grose scored from 22 yards out nine minutes into overtime, lifting Indiana to a 2-1 overtime win over Ohio State Sunday afternoon. After a devastating 5-1 loss to Illinois on Friday, the Buckeyes drop to 0-2-0 for conference play (5-2-0 overall) after starting the season untested at 5-0-0.
The match was a scoreless affair until the 77th minute when freshman striker Melanie Vierling (Cincinnati, Ohio) ripped a shot from eight yards out toward the right post and netted her team-leading third goal as a Buckeye.
With less than three minutes remaining, Carries Watts put in an indirect kick from Grose from 18 yards, pushing the game into overtime. Vierling and Becky Borchers (Sr., Dayton, Ohio) led the Buckeyes for shots with three apiece.
The Buckeyes play host to Michigan State Friday at 5 p.m. and No. 11 Michigan Sunday at 1 p.m. at the OSU Sports Field.
