Women's Soccer Lauren Robertson Earns National Team of the Week Honors

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State women's soccer goalkeeper Lauren Robertson was named to the online publication Top Drawer Soccer National Team for the week of Sept. 18 after her performances during the Buckeyes' 2-0 weekend in the Ohio State Tournament in Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
Robertson (Fr., Mission Viejo, Calif./So Cal Blues) posted her third shutout of the season Sept. 15 in the Scarlet and Gray's 1-0 upset over No. 15 California. The true freshman notched back-to-back shutouts earlier in the season against Kent State Aug. 25 and Xavier Aug. 27. Robertson also held Washington scoreless for 87 minutes Sept. 17 before relinquishing just her third goal in six games in Ohio State's 2-1 win. In 180 minutes of action Robertson made 11 saves.
Ohio State opens Big Ten play Friday when it travels to West Lafayette, Ind., to take on Purdue at 5 p.m. EST. The Buckeyes resume action Sunday against Indiana in Bloomington, Ind., at noon EST.
