COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State Buckeyes are 1-0-1 heading into two big home matches this weekend at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium: Friday at 7:30 p.m. vs. Ohio and Sunday at 1 p.m. vs. Pitt.
Sophomore defender Danielle Scoliere played a big part in the team's win over Bowling Green and its tie with No. 14 West Virginia, logging 200 minutes (out of 200) in the two games. Her efforts did not go unnoticed, as her teammates selected her as the Player of the Game after each match. She assisted on the team's first goal of the season in the BGSU game as well as being "dominant defensively," according to coaches. Two days later she marked West Virginia's dangerous Bry McCarthy the whole match and limited her to just one shot.
Danielle spent some time Thursday talking about the team's start and its weekend ahead. Click on the audio link above to hear a "Thursday Rap" with Danielle Scoliere.
