Women's Soccer Tabbed No. 2 in Big Ten Preseason Poll

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio State women's soccer team was picked to finish second in the league in the 2005 Big Ten Preseason Coaches Poll released Thursday. The poll tabbed Penn State No. 1, with Illinois rounding out the Top 3.
The Buckeyes, who earlier in the week earned the No. 10 spot in the NSCAA/adidas preseason poll and are ranked 12th by SoccerBuzz.com, will wrap up their preseason with a scrimmage against the Michigan Hawks club team at 6 p.m. Friday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
Ohio State finished the 2004 season 7-2 in conference play and 19-4-3 overall en route to its second league title after defeating Penn State, 2-0.
Ohio State officially commences the regular season at 4 p.m. at Kent State Aug. 26 with its first home game against Kentucky scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 11.
