Amanda Ball is one of Ohio State women’s soccer best kept secrets. Entering her senior season this fall, the midfielder brings out the best in her teammates as a proven and experienced leader. Her passion to lead has been best exemplified this summer as she is working at a daycare center, guiding a group of curious and energized 3-year-olds.
Do you stay on campus in the summer? If so, what for? If not, where do you go?
I usually go home for the summer, but this summer I am in Fort Collins, Colo., for an “Athletes in Action” summer project. I’m also playing on a team out here.
Are you working any internships or jobs this summer?

What is your favorite thing to do outdoors?
I love boats. I have so much fun water-skiing and tubing.
What was your worst summer job?
I worked at a sports store putting numbers on the back of t-shirts. It was only hard because of the constant standing and lack of air conditioning. Otherwise I had a good time.
