COLUMBUS, Ohio – Tiffany Cameron and Danica Wu, members of the 2012 Ohio State women’s soccer team, will be a part of the Canadian Women’s National Team’s roster that will take on the United States at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at BMO Field in Toronto. The match, which sold out on its first day on sale to the public, will be televised live on ESPNews.
Cameron, a 2012 NSCAA second team All-American and two-time first team All-Big Ten selection, left Ohio State as the Buckeyes' all-time leading goal scorer with 40 and tallied 96 career points, also the most in school history. Cameron, who signed a free-agent contract with the Seattle Reign of the National Women’s Soccer League, led the Buckeyes with 21 goals in 2012, shattering the previous school record of 13. Cameron’s nine game-winning goals were the most in the country and her 19 career game-winners tied for fourth-most in Big Ten history.
Cameron added five assists in her senior season to tally 47 points, also an Ohio State record, and earned her first three caps with the Canadian National Team in January in China. She was a part of the 2012 senior class that tallied 59 career wins, the most in school history.
Wu, entering her senior season at Ohio State, was named first team All-Big Ten this season after garnering second team honors a season ago. The Edmonton, Alberta, native tallied three assists in 12 games after missing the start of the season playing for Canada at the U-20 Women’s World Cup and the final six games with a broken leg. In November, Wu was named one of six nominees for Canadian U-20 Player of the Year.
