COLUMBUS, Ohio-Lori Walker, Ohio State women's soccer head coach, today announced Molly Kiggins (Kettering, Ohio/Alter) has signed an offer of admission to attend The Ohio State University and play soccer beginning in the fall of 2002.
"We are excited to have attracted another one of the top players in the state of Ohio," Walker said. "Molly's athleticism and intelligence for the game will be a great asset to our program and we are proud that she is a Buckeye."
A four-year member of the girls' soccer team at Alter High School, Kiggins was a first team all-state, all-Dayton and all-conference selection as a senior in 2001. Kiggins was captain of her high school squad, the recipient of the Senior Leadership Award and she played club soccer for the Dayton Soccer Academy. The daughter of Patrick and Jean, Kiggins' father and sister Stacey both graduated from Ohio State.
Kiggins joins the incoming Class of 2006, including Nicole Braman (Niwot, Colo./Niwot), Kristen Clark (Columbus, Ohio/Westerville North), Danielle Dietrich (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills), Colleen Hoban (Strongsville, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit), Melissa Miller (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain), Shannon Neely (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman), Kristin Rhyne (Alpharetta, Ga./Chattahoochee), Kristin Sawchak (Roswell, Ga./Roswell), Kelsey Thornton (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) and Chelsea VanHorn (Underhill, Vt./Mt. Mansfield Union).
